The Do LaB’s New Burning Man Project

The Do LaB is building a brand new large scale art installation for the 2011 Burning Man festival. The 60 foot tower-like object is also interactive, responding to both environmental conditions like the wind, and allowing participants to climb it’s 2 viewing levels. The interactive tower has been playfully named “Scrambled Eggs”.

“What excites me the most about going back is the community vibe,” offered Dede Flemming, one of our Executive Producers, who first attended Burning Man back in 2001.

Once the tower is built, everyone is welcome to enjoy it and share the experience with their friends at the festival.

“We went out one year, did nothing and actually got really bored,” Jesse Flemming, brother to Dede and also a co-founder, recalled. “We’re not the kind of people who can run around, party and have a good time when other people are building all this cool stuff. We want to bring something to the table and contribute to the Burning Man experience.”
