What a night it was for deadmau5! Not only did he celebrate his 31st birthday, which is actually on January 5th, but deadmau5 celebrated his new 2012 residency at XS nightclub and the news of Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially naming it ‘Deadmau5 Day’ in the city of Las Vegas.

Just after deadmau5 arrived at XS nightclub last night, the XS staff lead the thousands of fans in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him. He was then presented with a five tier cake with each tier featuring a theme from his residency announcement video. Before taking the stage for his set and as confetti cannons exploded into the crowd, deadmau5 was given the official proclamation on behalf of Mayor Goodman by Jesse Waits from XS.
