My 5 Favorite Things: Pasquale Rotella

Nightlife & Culture website ‘Société Perrier,’ got the chance sit down with the man behind Electric Daisy Carnival, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella, and ask him what his five favorite things are, check out what he had to say below.

1. The Peppermill.

A must-visit restaurant in Las Vegas, I love the bright colors, the décor dripping in neon lighting, and the fact that it’s open 24 hours. The banana splits are huge and incomparable.

2. Flaming Lotus Girls.

I have a personal passion for art and it’s a huge factor in the overall experience at our festivals. The Flaming Lotus Girls are one of my favorite creative groups because they create interactive pieces incorporating fire that lets the audience become part of the experience. They’ve had a presence at several of our festivals and will return for Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this summer.

3. Themed Events.

Right now I’m developing new concepts and ideas for rebranding our festival brands and Insomniac through new themes, mascots, and innovative ways to entertain the masses.

4. Owls.

Incredibly intelligent and wise, the owl is the perfect symbol for Insomniac. Our company motto reads: “Wide Awake Since 1993,” and like the animal, we are all so different, can look completely unlike one another in appearance, but yet are all the same creature.

5. The Fans.

I am often asked what is my favorite part of a festival, just before the doors open or at the height of the event when the venue is packed, but overall, my favorite element is the Insomniac fans as a whole. I consider them our biggest headliners, the most valuable contribution to the overall vibe, dressing up and creating a unique environment for all to enjoy. I strive to make each event bigger and better than the last for them.
