His sixth studio album and first major release since 2007, Paul van Dyk’s latest offering entitled ‘Evolution’ is a great album and a good example of how an artist can change without losing themselves. From start to finish, ‘Evolution’ takes you on a ride through the mind of someone who obviously loves music and will take the time to make it perfect. What’s also nice and different about the release is that even though it features collaborations with artists like Arty, Adam Young, and Austin Leeds, unlike recent producers who bring in guest stars purely for marketing purposes, Paul’s guests were chosen with only his music in mind.
“It’s not a marketing-driven collaboration. There is not a single song where a manager said, ‘Oh, you should work with that person.’ I don’t believe in that. For me it always has to be about having a connection to the person I work with.” says Paul van Dyk.
With ‘Evolution,’ Paul van Dyk has evolved in a way that will keep long time fans and at the same time bring in a new generation of listeners. The album is available for purchase today via iTunes and is ready to be streamed below, check it out.
