The Roland TR-808 was one of the first ever drum machines to hit the scene and is now a true piece of musical history. Directed by Alex Dunn and co-produced by “Planet Rock” creator Arthur Baker, the “Planet Rock and Other Tales of the 808″ documentary is about how the famous Roland TR-808 changed the musical world. Set to be released in 2013, the film will feature interviews with some of today’s biggest stars in music discussing how the 808 defined hip hop and modern dance culture through its continued use today.
