Adding to a series of events that will lead up to EDC Las Vegas, Insomniac has officially announced the 1st annual EDC Chicago. Taking place at the Chicagoland Speedway on Memorial Day Weekend from May 24th through May 26th, Insomniac is set to take advantage of the Speedways size and bring in 5 massive stages, large art installations, carnival rides, and Insomniac’s immersive audiovisual experience. Not only will this be the first EDC to hit the Midwest, but it will also be the first EDC to provide fans with the option to camp overnight directly adjacent to the festival grounds. Campers will get the luxury of being able to go back and forth between the festival and campgrounds throughout the entire weekend.
Pasquale Rotella:
“As Insomniac continues to grow, our first priority is listening to our fans and they’ve made us feel confident that EDC has a home in Chicago. This is the first EDC that will offer fans the opportunity to camp while enjoying the festival and I know that the Chicagoland Speedway is the ideal location. I’m really excited we’ve added Chicago to the EDC family of festivals.”
Three-day general admission tickets will start at $175 and VIP tickets will be going for $299 before service fees. A layaway pricing option will be available. A limited allotment of single-day tickets will be available at a later date. Tickets will be available next Wednesday, January 23rd at 12PM central time. Stay tuned for the lineup!
